My owl

After so MANY days of promising to have this owl DONE, I am finally finished! I have such a hard time deciding on which buttons for the eyes! The eyes really make my toys come alive!

My latest owl

I have gotten my owl mostly done. I need to sew the buttons to the crochet circles and then I can place the yellow beak.

My mother in law also just brought over a beautiful collection of yarn her mother had left (Geraldine passed away October '10). 4 huge shopping bags of never been touched yarn! I am really excited about all the possible projects. I was thinking a new bedspread and shams.

My daughter's penguin

<p>Here is my daughter's penguin. I was going to put white felt underneath, but it didn't seem right for this little guy. Apparently I believe the eyes really are windows to the soul. It took me 15 minutes just to find the perfect button eyes.

I finally finished him! I he should be in Arizona in time for Christmas

I am finally done with being sick. I got most of the house straighten up so I can enjoy crafting again without feeling like I should be cleaning. I still have to get my kitchen done but I HATE doing dishes by hand and the repair man should be here tomorrow so I am going to let it be.

I fixed her face!

She is perfect now. I gave her smaller features and used brown and less yarn!

I am trying to decide what about her face doesn't seem quite right. Is it her eyes? Her nose? or both?

What a busy day!

I have so many things planned for today! I am planning on posting my purple and yellow dishcloth to my etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/flameOfsilver?ref=si_shop, working on a hedgehog doll and a Toot the pig doll, AND sewing a mixer cover and my daughter's birthday dress. I could be expecting to much of myself since I need to add housework and meals in there too. We will have to see how it works how! Here is my dishcloth:
